Christine has worked as a therapist for over 20
years and has always welcomed learning new skills
and techniques both in classical beauty therapy and
in holistic modalities. She believes that keeping up
to speed with new trends is valuable not only for a
salon’s client base, but also for therapists to
develop and expand on a more personal level.
For the last 16 years Christine has enjoyed
providing training in a variety of topics. Having
listened to feedback, she believes that her teaching
style is calm, cheerful and relaxed. Learning should
be fun. Emphasis is placed on students achieving a
thorough grounding in their chosen topic and
inspiring confidence to apply their new skills.
The training is carried out at Seascape, Lower
Largo or at various nearby venues. If numbers are
large enough Christine is prepared to travel to
another location.

REIKI
Reiki is an ancient form of subtle energy healing.
It is a system that was taught in sixth century
India around the time of Buddha. It was resuscitated
in Japan by Mikao Usui in the 1920’s and is now
popular all around the world.
The word Reiki translates to “Universal Energy” and
this energy is completely harmless as it naturally
flows in and around us and all living beings. Once
attuned to its stream, we can use it to clear
physical, mental, emotional and spiritual blocks
within and around us, enabling us to move forward in
a more positive manner. We can join the swelling
number of people who focus Reiki energy towards the
benefit of all living beings and even our home –
Planet Earth.
Reiki is learned on three levels. Level one –
benefits mainly oneself, friends and family. Level
two – a practitioner level and also for distant
healing. Level three – more empowering and includes
the possibility of teaching others if so desired.
Each level is complete in itself, but those wishing
to progress through the levels should leave gaps of
3 – 6 months between each one.
Entry requirements: A genuine interest in
self-progression and the desire to help others. It
is advisable to experience a treatment before going
ahead.
Workshop length: Level 1 – two days. Level 2 – 2
days. Level 3 – length of time will vary according
to the student.

Sekhem
- The Helen Belot System
Sekhem is an ancient system of wisdom as taught in
the temples of the early Egyptian times. Sekhem is
channelled energy which is drawn from the great pool
of Living Light. Because of its very high
vibrational frequency and concentration, the feeling
of unconditional love that it imparts has been
compared to bringing “heaven to earth”.
Sekhem energy can be used in all sorts of ways to
the benefit of all, but in a treatment session the
channelled energy is passed on by a mixture of
“hands on” the body and also “hands above” in the
energy field or aura. Both methods are very powerful
and have to be experienced to be appreciated – mere
words are inadequate!
Sekhem can be used both for self-improvement and
enlightenment or to help those around us. Or even to
heal the planet and all living beings - past and
presently here! Intrigued?
The system consists of 5 levels. Level one – can be
used for oneself or others. Level 2 – more
empowering and includes techniques for distant
healing. Advanced Level – requires a more dedicated
approach and a deeper exploration of all that is
possible using Sekhem energy. Level 4 – known as
Sekhem master level. Level 5 – enables one to teach
this living intelligence energy system to other
people.
Entry requirements: A desire for
self-improvement and enlightenment. A compassionate
viewpoint towards yourself and others.
Workshop length: Level 1 – three days. Level 2 –
three days. Advanced Level – 3 days. Levels 4/5 will
vary according to the student.

Hot Stone Massage
Although the concept is ancient, the method we use
now in Spas and Beauty Salons has been adapted by
many body therapists until we have a fabulous system
of massage.
Hot Stone Massage is truly a mind, body and soul
experience. On a physical level your client will
experience all the benefits of a massage, but with
the added benefits of the deep penetrating heat
given out by the stones. The warmth and comfort is
soothing for the mind and body, plus on a soul level
the energy of the stones is both grounding and
energising. Cold stones are also incorporated to
balance the temperature and decongest puffy areas.
The training will enable you to carry out a full
body Hot Stone Massage and the ability to break the
method down so that you can carry out pedicures,
facials, back treatments etc as stand alone
treatments.
Topics covered include : historical ways stones have
been used – honouring the elements (fire, water,
earth, air) – grounding and protection – cleansing
your stones and crystals – a little light on Chakras
– the concept of embracing Mother Earth and
honouring Father Sky – closing down and sealing in
the energy

Indian
Head Massage
Massage has always played an important part in
Indian life. Indeed it is mentioned in the ancient
Ayurvedic texts – 4,000 years ago. Indian Head
Massage as we know it has been practiced for at
least 1,000 years - originally as a grooming
technique.
The accent is not only placed on the physical
aspect, but also the emotional and spiritual. The
Ayurvedic system looks at the entire person
including lifestyle and genetic influences. It also
focuses on the belief that humans have subtle energy
fields we know in the West as auras.
By working on the upper body we are benefiting the
entire person on many levels as the health of the
physical body depends on the state of balance within
the auric field with its many layers.
The training will enable you to carry out a full
Indian Head Massage, introduce you to sensing the
subtle energies surrounding us all and techniques to
rebalance those all important energy fields.
Topics covered include : Indian Head Massage and its
effects on the auric field – physical, psychological
and spiritual benefits – creating ambiance – looking
at Chakras – specific Indian Head Massage techniques
– connecting with the pranic healing energy stream

Hopi
Ear Candling
Hop Ear Candling is an ancient and natural therapy
that has been handed down by countless generations
and is also known as Thermal Auricular Therapy. Many
civilisations have used ear candles including the
Ancient Greeks, however the technique has reached
the modern world via the American Hopi Indians of
North Arizona.
This holistic treatment would have been carried out
in a ritualistic manner to support the physical,
emotional, mental and spiritual aspects. In the west
the focus is mainly directed towards the health of
the outer and inner ears and sinuses, but the
effects are far more reaching.
The training will enable you to carry out the
procedure of using Hopi Ear Candles and also to
carry out a decongesting pressure point massage on
the face, scalp and also the feet.
Topics covered include : History of Ear Candling –
mental, emotional, spiritual benefits – Chakras and
the subtle energy field – accupressure point massage

Thai Hot Compress Massage
Hot compresses are bundles of specially chosen herbs
that are wrapped up in muslin. They are then heated
in a steamer that releases the healing properties
and are applied to the body in a specific manner to
increase energy flow, improve circulation, relax
muscles and stimulate nerves. When applied to joints
and muscles, hot compresses can soothe away pain and
increase flexibility.
These little warm bundles are stroked over the body
in a specific way, working along the meridian lines
and can also be left to sit on specific acupressure
points. Energy blocks can therefore be removed and
the subtle energy is allowed to flow in a healthier
manner, so benefiting the entire person.
The training will enable you to choose the
appropriate herbs and make the compresses
specifically suited to your client and to carry out
a full body massage. The full procedure can be
adapted to carry out treatments for specific smaller
areas such as the back, neck and shoulders, legs or
to carry out a facial.
Topics covered include: Overview of Thai
Herbal medicine – The four body elements Earth,
Water, Air and Fire and their effects - location and
stimulation of energy points and meridians - the
properties of suitable herbs and how to select them
– making the herbal compresses – carrying out a full
body massage using specific oils and herbal
compresses
